Mental Health Counseling
Life is tough, and we all struggle at times.
Unwanted symptoms are like signposts pointing us toward the wound, and ultimately towards healing. Relief comes when we gather the courage to engage our pain rather than run from it.
Psychological pain and suffering let us know that something isn’t working. The issues that bring us into counseling and wreak such havoc on our personal lives, work, and relationships are often our best attempt at managing this overwhelming pain. We are all doing the best we can with the tools at our disposal.
Therapy will examine these symptoms in the larger context of your life to uncover old scripts and patterns that may be keeping you from growth and wholeness.
My aim is to work collaboratively to alleviate symptoms, address underlying causes, increase self-awareness, strengthen your relationships and promote lasting change. Therapy will teach you the skills necessary to live with more confidence, awareness, and creativity, as well as grow your capacity to effectively navigate the normal ups and downs of relationships.
